Why choose Fabric over Forge?

Fabric is lighter and updates to new Minecraft versions much faster than Forge, and it hosts the best performance mods (Lithium, FerriteCore). Forge still has the larger catalog of big content mods and kitchen-sink packs. If your mod list exists on both, Fabric usually runs leaner - which also makes it cheaper per hour to host.

Do I need the Fabric API?

Almost always - most Fabric mods depend on the Fabric API mod. Add it to the mods folder alongside your mods; one-click modpack installs include it automatically.

How do I install Fabric mods?

How much RAM does a Fabric server need?
