# Campfire Hosting

> Usage-based Minecraft server hosting: you only pay for the minutes your server is online. Servers save and stop automatically when nobody is playing. Supports Java Edition (Forge, NeoForge, Fabric, Paper, versions 1.1 to the latest) and Bedrock Edition with cross-platform play.

Key facts:

- Pricing is per hour of server runtime, prepaid in USD. No monthly subscription, and the prepaid balance never expires.
- Free trial: 2 hours of free play time on signup, no credit card required.
- Servers start automatically when a player joins and stop 5 minutes after the last player disconnects (configurable).
- Charging starts when the server is fully online and stops when shutdown begins - start/stop time is free.
- Storage costs $0.18 per GB per month, deducted daily from the prepaid balance.
- One-click CurseForge and Modrinth modpack installs; mods and plugins via web File Manager or FTP.
- Free subdomain for every server; free migration from other hosts via support.
- Two regions: U.S. East (Virginia) and Europe (Germany). The region is chosen when a server is created and is permanent for that server. Support hours are usually 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM PST.

- Redstone - 10GB RAM, 2 vCPU: $0.10/hour
- Diamond - 11GB RAM, 2 vCPU: $0.11/hour
- Emerald - 12GB RAM, 2 vCPU: $0.12/hour
- Prismarine - 16GB RAM, 4 vCPU: $0.20/hour
- Netherite - 32GB RAM, 4 vCPU: $0.27/hour
